From having done so much online dating, I'm generally pretty objective and desensitized about it. Chicks are much more random and capricious than dudes, so there could be any number of silly reasons they ultimately like or don't like someone they meet. I've noticed that there isn't much correlation at all between whether someone likes me and whether we're well-suited to being together. Because of that, I've learned to largely be indifferent about the whole thing. Obviously I know I shouldn't be thinking about this chick the way that I am, and that it's counterproductive for a number of reasons, but in this one instance I can't help it.

I think there is definitely over a 50% chance that I'm having "firsts" with my future wife right now. Just on an objective level, she's the best-suited for me of anyone I've met and I subjectively like her the most too. I just have to keep my head straight and let it progress naturally. I wrote a nice email to myself about her that I'll give her at some significant point in the future so that she'll know what I was feeling right from the very start.

I guess maybe that ominous feeling had something to it. It was always like "hmmmm, if I were texting with my future wife, this is exactly how I'd want her to talk to me." I'm happy as fuck but also incredibly anxious because I've never been this close to having something this nice, at least not as an adult.
