1) at old faithful my wife and I got "front row" seats by arriving 15 minutes or so before it erupts. Mostly old people and us arriving early to get the seats. When white people arrive late, they stand behind the seated area to get their view. 5 minutes before the eruption there is a big pile of people standing behind the seating area. A few little kids sit in the aisles.

Then giant gaggles of chinese adults show up 2 minutes before eruption from their buses and try to cram into the aisles between the benches, and even sit on the floor directly in front of the benches to set up their camera systems. I had to kick out two families and tell them to fuck off trying to sit in front of us. I also saw (again) people taking photos of luxury handbags in front of the erupting geyser (this is something I also saw in london in front of big ben, etc.).

2) they walk in giant groups led by some fucker with a chinese flag. They have NO concept of personal space of how you are supposed to walk along a walkway. There are wooden paths along the geyser areas and they walk in groups of 25 filling up the entire path. My wife and I were walking back up to the car on the right side of the path as they are coming down and I had to elbow people out of my fucking way to get up the path - and we are moving single file. The path is maybe wide enough for 5-6 people shoulder to shoulder.
