Barely any shares are floated for trade and all of those are basically shorted. So you have this dynamic where one broker is recalling borrowed stock from an account that got blown up and that account is frantically looking for stock to borrow but there's no stock available to borrow so pricing goes fucking buckwild

I don't plan to hold to expiry - If the stock drops by half by early october, the $1 contract would probably be at say $5 by then. So I'll take a 5x return and close out the option

2. You’re the third person I’ve heard mention this idea today (not exactly the sign of a hot stock tip lmao). This is a fucking horrible suggestion given the limited float, enormous hype and ASTRONOMICAL interest for borrowed shares (see: limited float)
Spotting an overvalued stock is only 10% of the battle. Timing (ie not getting margin called 5 seconds after opening your position) is basically everything
I almost think the average retail investor should be banned from buying or even discussing all equities except index funds unless they can pass the series 79 exam at least |
