As for my pipeline: Right now I have three 5-10 million dollar TBI cases I'm co-counseling with Carpenter Zuckerman and Rowley (50/50 fee split) and about 15 spinal surgery cases worth 500K-1 million each. I have one strange case where my client and her husband were in a motorcycle accident and she has painful menstruation, tears in her hip and knee, tinnitus, and a positive tesla 3 MRI showing brain bleeds and shearing. Husband had four broken bones. That one is going to mediation in a few weeks and should settle for 1 million. I have a dozen or so 100-250K cases and the rest are 100K or less (many settle for 15K because that is state minimum). I make most of my money doing a high volume of 50-100K cases.
I got an office in May so my expenses went up about 2K per month for rent (although the first 2 months were 50%). I also am hiring a 4th full-time staff member (plus the part-time law student I already have). I still have about 350 files, I'm just clearing them out faster now with more staff and I have 40-50 new files a month instead of 30-40. My firm with Kenny and Chandler is up to about 220 files now. I send them 10-15 cases per month consistently.
Shit has been insane this year. At my current growth projections I should have 500 files or so by end of next year and about 7-8 total staff (up from 4 full time and 1 part time).

I do my own books every month but I have a CPA that does my taxes at the end of the year and goes through and adds things/re-categorizes things, etc in Quickbooks. I try to do as much as I can though to make it easy for her. |
