If Dems impeach Kavanaugh after confirmation, what's to stop GOP from impeaching

Thomas had the Anita Hill accusations against him, so should he be impeached as well? This seems like it would set a very dangerous precedent of the majority party simply impeaching the opposing party's justices when they get power. If and when you get 60 votes in the senate, just impeach all the justices you don't like and thereby eliminate one of the major checks and balances of our government. I don't think Kavanaugh will get confirmed though. It will be a he said she said. They will ask him to take a polygraph, he will refuse, most GOP senators will vote for him but a few wouldn't under those set of facts so they'll just pull him and say the Democrats ran a smear campaign. |
