He says that "Kavenaugh, Mark Judge, and others would participate in the targeting of women with alcohol/drugs in order to allow a 'train' of men to subsequently gang rape them."
Note that he doesn't allege that Kavenaugh raped anyone, and the statement doesn't even allege that Kavenaugh gave the booze/drugs to women in order to be raped. He uses the weasel language "participate in the targeting of women..." What does that even mean? If he chatted up a girl, and then a rapist subsequently gave her a roofied drink, would that count?
All in all, it sounds like more horseshit. At most, I suspect Avenatti has some people who will tell wild stories about crazy parties and getting blasted ('sup Brady). This is a guilt-by-association ploy. |

Avenatti may be a shitlib hack, but he isn't dumb. If he had specific allegations against Kav, he would be shouting them loudly and repeatedly. But he's not. There's a reason.
This is a ploy to muddy the waters. He knows there are serious problems with the two pending allegations. But if you change the focus to the 1980s house party scene, and put up a couple of women who claimed to have been raped while drunk at such a party, and then place Kav at such a party, then it might be enough to sway some squishy GOP'ers because "it's just too much baggage."
Worst case scenario for Avenatti is that this serves to further delay the proceedings.
In any event, it burnishes his credentials as #resistard in chief. |
