There isn't a "standard" that applies equally, and certainly won't in the future. There is a standard that applies to (mostly conservative) white males, and lib rhetoric will be invented to dissociate minorities from their "disqualifying" behavior. Trust me, minorities won't be disqualified from shit.
You can already see the beginnings of this in Boston. Some extreme shitlib won the DA race and there was a thread about it. One of her campaign promises was to abolish prosecution of a slew of "minor" offenses, including low level theft, unless special permission was granted by a supervising prosecutor.
In practice this means that the criminal laws simply won't apply to minorities, but if a white person does the same thing, the supervisor will grant special permission to prosecute. |
