He said that having a pool makes it much more likely that your house will be the hangout house for your kid and his/her friends, and thus you're in a better position to oversee what's going on. Kids without swimming pools tend to hang at other friends' houses over the summer.
I thought that was an interesting take on it. Thinking back on it, it was pretty true during my childhood. |
