Trump mocked her for being phony and relying on that when applying to elite schools. She DOUBLES DOWN on her heritage. She gets a DNA test even, which reveals that she is maybe like, .1 percent Indian. And claims this as a "victory".
My 23andMe says 2.1% Italian. Never have I claimed to be Italian, never did I grow up with Italian cultural influences (other than residing in NJ) and it would make no sense to claim that.
She took a fraction of a percent of her heritage and overall ancestry and made it a huge deal. She has absolutely no connection to native American culture, ideals, religion, philosophy, living persons. All she had was family lore passed down over generations (6-10 generations to be exact, so best case scenario, her grandmother's GRANDMOTHER and probably further removed).
What a complete fucking fraud. And this is how sick modern liberalism and identity politics is. Witness the results. Trump played her like a Bach on cello. |

the goalposts have been shifted to "her NA status was not the determining factor in the Harvard hiring decision." here's how Snopes frames it in her favor: "Elizabeth Warren doesn't live in a mansion valued at several million dollars, evidence is contradictory over whether she used false claims of Native American heritage to gain an edge over other candidates for a job at Harvard or drew a large salary for teaching only one class."
i don't know how anyone could claim with confidence that her status played no role in the hiring decision. HLS was under enormous pressure for having no WOC as professors at the time. and even if her false Indian status didn't have any part in the hiring decision, checking the box was wrong. |
