Not sure why but I am bored off my ass at new movies, basically anything made by a major studio. Talking about the blockbuster shit primarily. They are being put together by teams of risk-averse Jewish producers and each of them employs like 5000 unnecessary pecial effects people which bloats the shit out of their budgets and makes them one|wrong|move away from disaster.
Anyway just watched Robin Hood on netflix or whatever, and I can't imagine it being so well-executed if made today, and this is just supposed to be some ** movie or whatever.

the 80s were a golden age of movies. the movies really seemed to flow naturally, the pacing etc.
pre-80s older movies, even classics, suffer from that Old Hollywood artificiality (the acting is so hammy, etc, even when 'serious') and shitty production values. and post-80s movies are all soulless special FX and gimmickry, to the point where the movies now are unwatchable.
the super HD grain of modern film has something to do with it too i think. it changes to atmosphere of the movies. like, Indiana Jones shot in some razor sharp HD style would lose something. it's too clinical looking.

modern "action sequences" and "fight scenes" are completely incoherent and unwatchable due to the extremely jarring and bizarre refusal to hold a camera at a fixed perspective for longer than 0.2 seconds.
one of the interesting things about the 80's film "ran" was how the camera just slowly hovered directly over two clashing armies for an extended period of time. as though you were an airborne observer. you NEVER see this in modern action films.
