It would've been completely acceptable for a Nobleman of centuries past to fancy poetry, Classics, and liberal arts, especially before the Engineering disciplines came into being. Even Sir Isaac Newton was a scholar of liberal arts in its purest sense. In the modern sense, the Loser/Liberal artist is who he is not so much because of any particular predilections or fancies, but through a STRICT process of elimination that precludes him from all of the better Cliques.

Hierarchies are always there, even amongst you and your friends, but if you are all chill bros then they don't come into play. We are bloody insistent in the way that we keep Losers down imo, like so many crabs in a bucket. The aristocratic dandy archetype of centuries past that you allude to was a Prep, and although to us they seem like gay liberal artists with their diaries and gay clothes and poetry and portraits, to see their majestic IRL 1600s phenotypes juxtaposed with 4`11 peasants would all but calcify the reality of Clique in your mind imho. |
