You're insane.
It was 99% fun and 1% studying.
Nothing negative at all.

why are you talking about yourself in the third person? thats what i mean. there is no hope of getting through to a mental case.
you have not overcome anything, you just deluded yourself into thinking you have a normal life and are some kind of success story, while the opposite is clearly true. seek help.
edit: oh and that wasnt a 145 iq worthy test. at best u proved ur not a total retard.

You an Organic Chemistry major?
There was like 10-20 hours of “work” on average from class and assignments.

Where did you go?
Most of that reading can be skimmed, especially if you go to class

Yeah, but then … what are you really doing if you are just skimming it.
I skimmed plenty, just because it was so goddamn much.
I went to a grind school.

fair enough, you have to pick and choose your spots
I will say, I think the assigned reading in a lot of classes is sort of bullshit
example - https://marginalrevolution.com/marginalrevolution/2018/08/fall-industrial-organization-reading-list.html
who can read all that?
I want to see some calculations of how long that would take at various common reading speeds
it forces you to skim it, I guarantee the professor didn't read all that in a 3 month span

I went to a fucked up (mostly) all male military college where we were literally locked in a building every night that was modeled after 18th century prisons, forbidden from having alcohol on campus, forced to have our heads shaved for the entire first year and deprived of both sleep and food in such a way that I lost 45 lbs in 3 months. For the most minor of infractions I could lose my ability to leave campus for weeks, and even will full liberty I was only allowed general leave for a few hours on Wednesday afternoons, and sporadically on the weekends (and very rarely overnight). Getting caught with a girl in the barracks was an automatic expulsion offense.
YET
college was still absolutely the most insanely good time I've ever had and sometimes I miss it so badly that I can be bought to tears.

I was a STEM major, so college wasn't easy as far as work. It was still great to hang out with tons of people within 2 years of my age and not worry about working to pay bills, etc.
Getting 3 meals a day, sleeping until 10 and partying from Thurs through Saturday were decidedly awesome.
I'd say I enjoy the autonomy of being an adult more than I did in college, but I don't get to relax and have as much as I did back then.

Helmholtz had mixed reactions to his courses and teachers during his first year. On the whole, he reported home, “Our courses are moving merrily along,” but he found them to be very time-consuming. He complained about the tedium of “often sitting there in the evening learning muscle upon muscle,” saying, “That makes the head reek.” He never warmed to anatomy, since he thought it difficult to maintain order “in this deluge of facts.” He found Mitscherlich’s chemistry courses “very interesting” but also “just a little bit boring” as well as “stinking full.” He never became attracted to chemistry, either. He thought that Heinrich Friedrich Link, the botanist and natural historian, suffered from “a superabundance of intellect”; six weeks into natural history, Link was “still at the philosophical introduction (Oh God!).” He found Müller’s course on physiology, by contrast, “excellent.” Dove, an experimental physicist and meteorologist, impressed him very favorably; he found his teaching insightful. All told, Helmholtz spent no less than forty-two hours a week in class: “That’s military order!,” he exclaimed.

I don't understand how anyone could prefer working to being in school. When you're in school you can sleep in, take a threw hour lunch if you feel like it, nap when you're tired or spend the day watching Charmed reruns.
There is a lot of work but you can complete it at your own pace and when you feel like doing it. You don't have to be somewhere all day like when you're working.
Also it was amazing being around tona of.young people who had similarly light schedules. All of my closest friends are from college.

So, going to FSU and being part of PIKE and majoring in US History would have been a drastically different experience than going to UC Berkely and majoring in Chemistry?
News at 11.
