College and law school were great bc you had tons of freedom but little responsibility. You lived alone (I love my family / kids, but there was something awesome about coming home from class / work to a quiet empty apartment and just doing whatever the fuck I wanted in between my assignments. You also only have to be somewhere a handful of hours a week. It was truly 180.

How do you have compassion when people are hurting? I mean I'm sure you do, but isn't it hard, in light of the mindset you had to adopt while you were a student there? Getting 3 meals a day, sleeping until 10 and partying from Thurs through Saturday were decidedly awesome.

I'd say I enjoy the autonomy of being an adult more than I did in college, but I don't get to relax and have as much as I did back then.

There is a lot of work but you can complete it at your own pace and when you feel like doing it. You don't have to be somewhere all day like when you're working.

Also it was amazing being around tona of.young people who had similarly light schedules. All of my closest friends are from college.
