1. The House investigations will reveal a lot of shit about Trump's corruption.
2. The congressional Republicans will not go along with Trump on the issues that could help him win the rust belt states again (e.g. immigration).
3. The Democrats were super savvy in 2018, as they focused on healthcare and bread and butter issues and ignored the hysteria about immigration and racism. They finally figured out how to beat Trump by focusing on suburban voters who used to vote GOP but have decisively turned against Trump and the GOP.

1. Investigations will backfire as the Dems aren't serious about governing.
2. GOP will unify to win in 2020 and Trump is the most popular guy in GOP I believe
3. Cannot compare non-Prez election cycle, it's dramatically different in ways I won't even bother to waste time writing about.
Remember, the Dems still have to nominate someone. Do you seriously think they're going to nominate a moderate white Dem male? The best shot to beat Trump? Or is a party built these days on identity politics and resentment, and hate of Trump, going to nominate the most angry Trump hater who fits their definition of oppressed?

Hot take is that he'll win reelection but lose more seats in congress and lose the Senate
2020 senate map is brutal for GOP. Defending like 20 seats to the Dems' 10, and the Dems' 10 are all fairly safe. Michigan maybe the only one in play for GOP, whereas Dems could pick up Maine, Iowa, Colorado, Arizona, North Carolina, and even a few wild cards like Kansas, Georgia, Texas, or Alaska
