Nah, the research is pretty solid. But on both ends you have people who will have traits and characteristics of the generation before/after.

I think the "tech-obsessed faggots" is the big uniting point.

My oldest sister is in her 40's while my youngest is late-20's.

My older sister remembers a time before AOL when you actually had to have a house phone to communicate with people. However, good luck trying to teach her how to use IG or any social media beyond fb.

Generations are such flame. Are we supposed to think that people born in 1985 are more closely related to people born in 1994 than to people born in 1980?

Or people born in 1960 more closely related to people born in 1949 than to people born in 1965?

I would say yes.

Someone born in 85 is more likely to have grown up with the internet and technology just like someone born in 94.

The difference in technology “growing up” for someone born in 85 and someone born in 94 is much greater than 80-85.

Just pick ages for all of them and compare. Say, 10 years old.

Yes, history is cyclical in that each generation overcorrects for things their parents did. The early 80s marked on of those turning points. That’s when child-proofing, MADD, school uniforms, etc. became a thing. Before that parents were off partying while their kids were latchkey kids.

And it’s turning again now with stuff like free-range parenting.

That far apart there is going to be a pretty big difference and an individual could cusp more with Gen X or Homelanders, but on average yeah. And my point was only that newspapers use the term millennial because it drives clicks when they’re really just discussing normal marketing data.

The whole concept of "generations" is really quite stupid, since the mainly all started solely with the massive increase in births after WW2.
