Date: December 13th, 2018 12:03 AM Author: drab corn cake toaster it's not that big of a deal. you just grow past certain people and don't have a use for them in your life anymore (or it happens the other way around). relationships exist when both sides mutually benefit from the relationship and growth can happen. once this is no longer the case, there's no loss in just moving on
IMO people who treat relationships like a rolodex of utility are way more messed up than people like you or me. they superficially "maintain" these tons of loose acquaintances *just in case* they might ever need to use or exploit them for their own one-time benefit. it strikes me as fundamentally creepy and pathological |
