For me it always starts with nasal/throat discomfort, coughing, general feeling bad and out of it/dizzy

Then I go home, drink a bunch of water wrap myself in blankets and sleep and wake up feeling better typically in one or two days.

Wonder WTF virus it is - or perhaps its an early visit from Santa POZ

I did get a flu shot this year - maybe this was the flu and I got the flu that was ameliorated by the vaccine

fwiw last time I was somewhere with a proper winter I was sick for 5 months

but that's factoring in 12+ hrs a day of exposure, an assload of vaccines, poor ventilation, etc etc etc

I stopped getting sick after I stopped smoking a few years back. Now I'm healthy year round.

Nice - I no longer smoke and would always get sick with a change in seasons when I was a smoker.

Yeah this just the common cold. I'm sure it got its name because most people get it when it first gets cold

Literally hadn’t been sick for at least a decade until I had a kid. Now like clockwork I get sick in late fall when the temperature drops. Low grade fever and a headache for three days. Then for the rest of the winter I have to deal with what feels like very mild asthma or pneumonia.

I’m no doctor, but I believe you are getting what’s called the common cold.

As the name suggest, the answer to the question in your title is “yes” for almost everyone

My wife is a teacher so Im sick every 3 weeks because of her filthy germ ridden kids. Never marry a teacher if you want to avoid constant colds and strep throat and shit.
