You would think 17 investigations would turn up some wrongdoing, and they have.
(1) The NY AG was investigating Trump, and had to resign for sex assault.
(2) FBI Special Agent Peter Strzok was investigating Trump, and was taken off the investigation and later fired for trying to organize a silent coupe against the administration by assembling blackmail material.
(3) FBI Director James Comey was investigating Trump, and was fired (and may still be prosecuted) for leaking classified materials to the press, and obstruction of justice in the Hillary Clinton email investigation.
(4) FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe was investigating Trump, and was fired (and may still be prosecuted) for lying to the Justice Department's Office of the Inspector General.
(5) Multiple senior Dept of Justice employees were investigating Trump, and now face prosecution for purposefully offering false information to obtain a FISA warrant to spy on the Trump campaign.
(6) The special counsel's office was investigating Trump, and now faces the prospect of having General Flynn's guilty plea voided because of the FBI's misconduct in the investigation (see Comey, ibid), including withholding exculpatory evidence, and spoliation of evidence.
Trump is winning, and Mueller will lose his law license for his conduct of the special counsel investigation. Withholding key evidence in a prosecution, purposefully, will get you disbarred, and that is what he did with General Flynn.

My guess is that Mueller loses his law license over his conduct in this investigation, if he doesn't get prosecuted himself. He's doing such a poor job it's amazing he hasn't come in for more criticism.
Item #1: He is investigating contacts with Russia during the campaign, but he is not investigating Clinton campaign contacts, even though there were many documented ones. His staff is full of Clinton campaign donors, which would conflict them out. He is obstructing justice by declining to investigate these contacts.
Item #2: He is investigating contacts with Russian intelligence during the campaign. Some of those contacts were made by members of the FBI which he hired during his time as director. This means he has a conflict of interest since he is investigating his own people, and it's possible Mueller would be a target himself of such an investigation. Investigating Comey for obstruction of justice in how he handled the Clinton investigation (i.e. writing a letter declining to prosecute months before the investigation was over) should also be at the top of the list, but again Mueller won't investigate his friends, so there's another conflict of interest.
Item #3: There have been numerous leaks from his staff to the press of grand jury proceedings. Each leak is a felony committed by a member of his staff.
Item #4: Mueller has been investigating for months and has found no evidence of any actionable collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia. He is charging Trump campaign staffers for cheating on their taxes and failing to register as foreign lobbyists a decade ago. A prosecutor is not supposed to investigate people, only crimes. This is a MAJOR ethical problem for Mueller, and he has lost his credibility in doing so.
My guess is that Mueller will be removed for cause as special counsel, as will most of his staff, and some will lose their law licenses while others will be prosecuted for leaking grand jury proceedings. They can't possibly do a fair job of investigating this matter given their prior connections to the targets of the investigation and their intense politically partisan bias.
