If you don't have more than 1 kid and don't expect them to ever have friends over or if you never have friends over and make guests stay in hotels when they visit then you could get by with smaller, like 2200 ft minimum. even then it would be kind of tight.
biggest problem I have with mine is that the bedrooms besides the master are too small and I could see the kids outgrowing them. Have comtemplated putting on an addition and will probably end up finishing the basement in a few years. |

One thing I do like is that my children won’t be used to having a ton of space and thinking it’s normal to have their own rooms. |
