spent some time scrounging up quarters and went down to laundry room, only works with some kind of rfid card chip system, it isn't even your room card

you borrow a card from the front desk, load the card up with some cash keep the card in the machine during your wash, then return the card for some money back. total cost of 1 load of laundry = four american dollars

this is the stupidest shit I've ever seen in my life and I have no idea why you can't just pay with change

this isn't even a credit card system which at least would have made sense

you have to walk from your room to the third floor laundry, find out you can't pay change, call the front desk from the phone there, find out you have to use this special rfid card you load up, walk down to the front desk for the card, walk back up three flights of stairs and down the hall to the laundry room, use the card for wash and dry, walk your clothes back to your room, walk the card back to the front desk, hike all the way back to your room again. instead of just using a handful of quarters

it's like a group of idiots sat in a board room debating for weeks about how to create the most inconvenient laundry system imaginable and then patted themselves on the back and handed each other bonuses after coming up with this
