In a lot of cases, cars have just gotten bigger/heavier, so each successive generation "feels" just a little more refind as a result. The most notable thing is safety - this can't be denied. Fuel efficiency is another. But really, we're just speculating. There are some Cars that took a step back between the mid 90s and the 2000s, such as the Camry or the Civic. Others have taken a massive step forward, like the Mustang, and have gotten a shit-ton more expensive as a result. Then you have Cars that Women buy like crossover SUVs which are expensive because bird-brains/cuck husbandry.
Interiors? Well, I just don't get it, I'll never get it, I have no idea what journalists are criticising about "bad" interiors or what they seem to like in "good" interiors. It's all just plastique to me, I don't understand the difference. An E30 or a W124 both have obviously nicely designed interiors, granted. Based on a limited sample, the Cars with "nice" interiors that are also inexpensive, like VWs or Mazdas, love to start rattling starting at like 7.5k miles (after Car reviewers are done with them). |

Yeah, you can spec out a Limited to include a lot of what you'll find in an overland or summit, but you won't save much (if any) money doing that. Plus, you'll be customer ordering it new rather than getting lightly used or something that was left over on the lot (so more money wasted for no reason).
Also, specing a Cayenne to have all the features is unbelievably expensive. I looked at it before immediately writing it off for a GLE or X5/X6. |

The 4 cylinder in the 2019 is underpowered and the acceleration is not great - I was hoping with the turbo 4 you get a little more pick up than the current shitty 4 without getting raped on gas 24/7 as you would with the 6 cylinder.
Maybe I will test drive a 2019 legacy since I think it's supposed to be the same basic chasis and engine as the new outback. |
