Cap it at like $20k per year total cost of attendance UG (including housing), slightly higher for grad programs, and tie it to inflation so it can adjust at a fair pace. The system right now is absurd: any college can declare its cost of attendance to be any amount the and the US government will underwrite that amount. Student loan forgiveness is a giveaway to people who will, on average, have higher than average income. What's more, it's a giveaway to the very specific slice who are still in the phase of their life where they're paying it back. This is completely illogical; UBI that goes to everybody is much more equitable. |

anyways, they followed her to her work, sent her hundreds of mail, had real live people calling her once a week, scheduled comp interviews and meetings with live people. literally dozens of people sucking on the gov't tits for $100k salaries and 30 year pensions were involved in registration, and then the subsequent tracking of this woman and making sure she deserved her welfare and food stamps.
under UBI it's 99.99999999999% automated. u wire money to every u.s. citizen so all ur really checking for is passport fraud which is under another department's jurisdiction already. |
