The greyscale they first show in the series, with Shireen and the exiled on Valyria, isn't a scale on top of the skin. It turned the tissues into stone. This was even clear when they first showed Jorah with it. Then they retconned it later to show it as some kind of rash.
Second:
They make a big point of saying it was INCURABLE. Shireen caught it as a bay, and Stannis had to bring the best maesters in the kingdom to barely save her life.
Then later we find out there's a cure it just *rarely* works and maesters just let them all the victims die rather than attempting it. Lol what a joke. |

I don't get why everyone is pissed off over arya and bran. they spent the whole series building them up to be omniscient and omnipotent so they could kill the knight king. makes sense.
everyone knew while watching the show that a lot of it was wandering nonsense. given that all of modern pop culture is fake news to distract you from the world's real problems its not inconceivable to see how a well put together show could throw in a bunch of red herrings to throw you off. none of it was as bad as that seaseon in breaking bad with the plane or whatever.
hopefully the major networks learn to do actual season arcs instead of just dragging out a decade long story though. |

It's sort of a cool concept just badly executed because several characters at the end meetup were completely new (or I had no idea who the fuck they were). But telling the stories of the bit players who go on to end up.as the heads of great houses isn't a bad idea in principle, if that's what they were going for. Which makes me wonder if he was also the one to make Jon Arryn start repeating “the seed is strong” line. Could tie into the dropped famine plotline. |
