Mine is almost as fluffy and the breed commonly works in places like TN, AR, MS, AL, TX, etc. guarding sheep and goats. But they should have a pond or other pool of water around for them to cool off in. My dog loves summer despite the heat but for any hikes we MUST be near a body of water for her to soak in.
