Smart aspies have little interest in politics.

Dumb aspies and smart non-aspies (usually people with more of a humanities bent) do, however.

Lol not from CIT.

CMU is probably leading the nation for AO, AI, and robotics.

CMU is definitely in the same league as MIT. caltech is more theory and physics, not AI or robotics.

#1 in comp sci

invented java

#1 autonomous driving, beat stanford many years in a row, stolen by uber for tens of millions

#1 robotics and nanotech

father of computer science taught there

MIT alum here. Class workload limits time for community organizing. People are more interested in physical than sociological topics. Careerism is also a factor.

It was very good and I would do it again. It was not the "typical" college experience, and I hated it at the beginning - not easy to go from being #1 in everything to middle of the pack, but I ultimately came to appreciate it. Junior and senior years and grad school were great. I learned really useful problem solving skills that have served me well. Made lots of friends and had an active social life. Did well enough to go to HLS, which was much less rigorous.

Decided engineers were basically chattel. Then I became a lawyer and learned what that really meant. Enjoyed law school a lot, but did not like practicing, so I went into business. This was a long time ago. I might be the oldest poaster. Have had an entertaining career in tech business - mostly startups, but also one stint in a big one.
