Other forums suggest this strategy to applicants with low GPAs and 175+ LSATs. I assume it's because that kind of applicant is used to offset other applicants with high GPAs but below median LSATs, and you can't tell ahead of time which schools have applicant pools like that.

Do any bort splitters have experience with this?

that is exactly the strategy. i had a lower but comparable situation, ended up with a full ride after ~14 applications.

but aim a little lower and go for free if your school is going to suck objectively.

I'm guessing he's saying that nowadays you don't need to ED anymore, and doing so would just be locking myself out of any potential money.

I'm not EDing anywhere, just applying broadly RD the first week of Sept.
