It is much more livable plus the outdoor scene is incredible - hiking, biking, running, chilling at the beach, hanging in Malibu, etc. Also, the nightlife is probably better if you're in the right Hollywood circle - plus Uber is really helping out in that regard - though it still sucks everything is so spread out. |

Once you grow up and leave NYC you can't believe you were willing to tolerate shit like walk up 4 story apartments, fucking laundromats, broker fees on fucking apartments. and flies in every pizza place on every corner, not to mention piles of trash with rats running back and forth.
New York is more fun, but once you are too old for that kind of fun its just gross and exhausting.

But, I agree with you, NYC is a city for youngs and LA is better for olds, generally speaking. |
