ukraine is not a good place to find a wife

Date: October 17th, 2019 4:17 PM Author: curious olive gas station halford been chilling in lviv for a few days. everyone here is married at 20 and only the dregs are left. Locals tell me that they don't like big age gaps.
the level of English spoken here isn't all that high either, so it's not easy to have a real conversation. Not very many foreigners, so you definitely stand out. Some chicks will give interested glances.
Girls are cute in their early 20s but seem to rapidly age like hispanics, though they don't gain weight.
Also, a lot of the smartest and best girls have left to Europe. So it kind of resembles poor town usa in that the losers get stuck here.
Maybe Kiev is different idk.
I hate to say this, but if you're a biglaw/MFH dude there is a meaningful cultural gap here. many of the people here come from smaller villages and Lviv is the big city to them. Coming from MFH will make you more attractive, to them but these people really have no idea about our world.
The city of Lviv itself has a certain rustic charm. No battles were fought here so the old buildings are intact, and there are many restaurants and bars that take advantage of the old european feel. It's kind of like a dirtier and older version of Krakow.

These people appear to be bumming around living off their savings or have odd internet only jobs. It's not that they are super ugly, but generally quite awkward or weird. They actually do find girlfriends here that are better than what the could get back home, if only that their girls arn't fat (there are very few fat people here).

The best place to find a wife honestly is your home country, where you at least can tell more readily if she's mentally ill, if her family sucks, etc. |

The urban american woman today, at least those in MFH, don't seem interested in having a family or even capable of managing one. There doesn't seem to be very much femininity left.
The situation is better, and sometimes quite a bit better, in some other countries.
Of course, the standard biglaw drone is able to offer a significant lifestyle upgrade to most women in the world. He can literally change a girl's life. That improves the quality of woman he can pull. |

ridiculously cheap to live here brother. I ate a FULL slab of grilled ribs for $6 USD. Duck at the local upscale restaurant was like $10. Craft beers are like $2.
Medical costs are outrageously cheap. A guy here bumped his nose and got a series of x-rays and examined by a doctor for $12.
I'd budget 10k a year to live well. |

Cobbled streets are very uneven, buildings look like they haven't been renovated in a hundred years, and people have that stoic/austere look of soviet desperation. Also a lot smaller than Krakow. There are very few foreign tourists; mostly tourists from other parts of the Ukraine. You definitely feel like you are not in the West.
I picture it as a good destination for the williamsburg/hipster/artist crowd and not hte MFH big brunch crew.
