I fucked with insureds all the time because then they harass their carrier to settle. I send them photos of injuries, my client's bills, etc and they freak out and annoy their adjuster into paying.

Once I file a lawsuit and they get a lawyer I have to stop.

I agree that any dog owner should be forced to have more insurance coverage than someone without dogs. The price for that coverage is up to the insurer/insured. My prior post expressed nothing with respect to this topic.

My second sentiments reflect that in some states, you cannot garnish wages or place liens on someone’s house to satisfy a judgment. I am not a California lawyer and I am not passing any kind of judgment about what kind of collection techniques are legal there. I am just laughing that that is apparently possible.

Finally, dogs are—by their nature—vicious and terrible. Just look at what happened to this poor woman.

That doesn't make sense. What state allows insurers to contract their way out of the duty of good faith and fair dealing and all of the insurance law that arises out of it?

It could be that the insurer and its lawyers often don't place much weight on the demands of plaintiffs' lawyers, but that's a separate issue from whether the insurer is settling appropriately.
