Redemptions combined with margin calls would definitely be a reason to just shut down all activity and unwind positions to return any remaining capital.
I know of one fund that had 20% of its capital short TSLA but this was like 18 months ago |

My numbers were right on AAPL - revs and earnings estimates have declined significantly. The P/E just doubled. Shorting it in 2018 was a big winner |
