It's poignant, in a way--imagining someone like solzy or petro or askav popping up in a reddit thread and pushing out some hilarious or masterful or brilliantly sardonic passage that would have been perfectly attuned to the chattering masses here circa 2010 and thus elicited a cycle of bumps and follow-on poasts and re-renditions that would have gotten it cemented into part of the site culture code and now, in 2020, gets 5 upvotes and a "this!" sub-comment. |

We used to have an arrangement where at least one of us was monitoring his biostats in real-time around the clock, this is back in the day when the coffers were full and he could afford to pay. In retrospect, I'm wondering if something else was going on--was he in trouble? Was he seeking an out? Or did he not want us to get wrapped up in something that could jeopardize everything? If it was a paternal instinct, it was misguided--he hasn't saved anything, he's simply set the stage for a long decline into nothingness here. There's a group of us trying to stage a mission--to go out there, pierce the veil, locate him and bring him back if we can. If you're interested, we're always looking for good crew.
