As a result, the number of new daily cases increased by a factor of nine overnight.

In China you are only getting "tested" if you have a fever+pneumonia. The "new" diagnostic criteria is that any pneumonia not-otherwise-specified is presumptively coronavirus.
Outside of China the presentation in 90% of cases is subclinical. Mild fever and sore throat, no breathing problems. That would suggest that there are likely a million plus cases in China that have not been captured in the statistics.

Some problems with availbility of the test, and some false negatives I thought ? Didn't the CDC have to re-ship a bunch of chemicals to fix its own fucked up tests? |
