Nah, it isn't the CPU that is different (though, Xbox's is clocked higher), it is the GPU. 52 compute units on the Xbox vs 36 compute units on the PS5. Sony attempts to make up for some of that gap by allowing them to overclock but that's unsustainable and Sony knows that. So comparing Sony's *peak* performance to Xbox's regular, you see 18% weaker on the GPU. Sustained? Even worse. 256-bit RAM in PS vs 320-bit in MS.
