You then shooting them after they initiated justifiable self-defense to your initial aggression (for which you would already go to jail) is tied to your initial aggression (and you would go to jail even longer).

In the video the person who shot the gun is justified in self defense because they established themselves as retreating and no longer a threat long enough for the mob to become aware that that individual was no longer a threat. Their acts at that point became retaliatory and that is unlawful. The shooter will likely go to jail for body slamming that woman but not for shooting the man.
