she hates puerto ricans who are very "puerto rican" but only because their projection of what the identity is has no basis in historical reality. she generally finds most people who are really into their ethnicity/race to be super trashy. her general feeling on it is that people resort to stereotypical behavior because either they are too dumb or too lazy to cultivate their own individual identities. tribalism is for sheep. yet, it is important to pass down your own authentic and real ethnic heritage. it's a balancing act to her. she basically was making a "culture of poverty" argument without knowing it. |

BUT, develop yourself. especially if it's a small group. puerto ricans in reality are a VERY small group and there is so much loss and intermarriage in diaspora coupled with loss of language that the risk of their being "no real puerto ricans" by the time i die is pretty real. my wife and i are pretty "puerto rican", but we're not horn honking wearing flags like swim trunks and bikinis imps. its like that episode of south park about hawaiians.
so, yes, protect it. marry into it if you haven't already. but don't become "that guy". |

When the parents have heterogeneous political views, the Mother carries a slight edge in terms of predictive power on the child's views. And there is a slight gender bias, but in both cases, homogeneous and heterogeneous parents, daughters and sons were more likely to match their mothers. Daughters were significantly more likely to match their mom compared to their father while it is closer to a coin flip for sons.
For heterogeneous parents the mom edges out the father 54-46.

WHY these correlations??? It’s because “lib” mostly means “redistributionist”, and generically weak people (short fat ugly weak) prefer redistribution of resources because it is the only way they can COMPETE for resources with genetically strong people.
Being a lib is an EVOLUTIONARY STRATEGY for the genetically weak to compete against the strong for mating and other resources. If I were short and weak and effeminate, I would likely be a lib, too!
