United States $65,111

South Korea $31,430

Czech Republic $23,213

Poland $14,901

If South Korea and Czechia are barely considered first world then I think Poland is still quite a bit short of the threshold.

sk by 88 was second world. around that time were some insanely massive (and violent) protests which is why a lot of koreans bailed and moved to america in the 80s, actually

the political situation wasnt stable until the mid-late 90s, which is when you could say korea achieved first world status as we know it today

it is very amusing seeing the board cumskins brag about bezos having billions, bringing up the GDP cap #s for america up, all whilst conveniently ignoring their TTT gini coefficient

a very bizarre obsession cumskins have with gdp cap as an end all be all

i don't post substantively on most matters because everything i say on xoxo i've said a million times already

probably have said at least a couple hundred times already that GDP/cap after around 30-40k or so is useless as an indicator of how the average citizen in a given country is doing. i've been to countries with an even higher gdp cap than the US - norway - and i didn't notice things being that much more expensive than prices in korea

this is why when white supremacist NOWAG trolls like pumocuck brag about their "60k gdp cap!!!! AMERICA FUCK YEAH!" i just lol.

Of course not. Both according to the original Cold War definition and the updated 21st century meaning Poland is not a first world country. The only parts of it that even resemble first world are the regions annexed from Germany.

I go to Poland nearly every year. It's buildings and roads def suggest 1st world status although they still have a large rural population (from what I understand). They are also getting a lot of the tech/service jobs that would prbly go to India. We are offshoring a lot of our settlement ops to Poland -- chill and hardworking brehs and dudettes with a solid enough command of English. But gen the Eastern parts of Poland are more underdeveloped than the central and western parts. With that, it is probably somewhere along its way to being a 1st world country

Pretty much at the exact borderline looking at HDI. First 29 are locks, so it's really at Estonia and Poland that the the gray area begins. Greece and Portugal are considered first world, despite recent events, so probably have to give Poland the benefit of the doubt. Chile is definitely NOT, though, and it's just a few spots down. Obviously shitty Arab countries are not, but that's not really comparable.
