either Napa / Sonoma or idk if they still have working pineapple farms in Hawaii but there if so. are you asking about the most prestigious crop? are there any caviar "farms" in the US? or are you asking about the most prestigious land. to an extent just run of the mill iowa corn farmland has to be considered given the sheer magnitude and impact of its production. like comparing ford to ferrari

edit: farms in like Mendocino or Vermont have to be considered for the purity of hte operation and the natural beauty of the land

In Napa it would generally be Oakville that I think is the most prestigious; I'm sure some wine nerd will correct me with something else, but that's what I think is the top for Napa.

Climate change is having producers looks elsewhere, so I imagine certain parts of more Northern California and Southern Oregon will eventually become prime locations.

This - specifically land planted before 1987. In 1987 they capped the grade you can plant grapes at 25 degrees. Best reds grow on steeper slopes so all the vineyards that planted on 40 degree slopes are able to produce stuff that others just can’t.

This land goes for about 1.2M/acre

Oklahoma? Texas? They can hardly grow anything down there. That's why they raise cattle, not crops.

Gotta go farther north for good farmland. IA, WI, NE, even KS.

exactly. cotton and tobacco were once king. no idea on tobacco farming, but currently rice (even though a food) is cash-crop level income and is very expensive to farm competitively.

regular row crop, soybean, corn, sorghum peanut, are bottom barrel.

vegetable and melon farming is medium.

nut farms: almonds, pecans, etc are a good second place
