How long did it take to fill up? My mom was told it would take 2 years for hers to be full.

its pretty site specific. mine is filled with sheet flow from about 30-35 acres and it sat with less than a foot of water for 2-3 months. then one evening we had a 5" rain and its been 90-100% full since. really just need a big rain that sheets over the ground.

i've got video/pictures of the end of the filling. ill look for it

how big is hers, is it sheet flow or impoundment?

How big is it? I haven't been up there b/c of COVID, but apparently hers is 0.75 acres and 17 feet deep.

wow 17 feet. mine is 1.2-1.3 acres and 9 feet.

i've seen 2-3 pounds in the past couple of years that just never get full, don't know if its a drainage or leak issue.

any reason given why it would take more than 1 normal year/rain cycle?

No idea. Maybe it's just the strength of the spring underpinning it.

Also, this thing is basically on the side of a mountain. Don't know if that affects things.
