I’m a huge capitalism-mo. I LOVE MILTON FRIEDMAN.
But I was just thinking of Johnny Damon. Guy retired at 38. He’s just going to play with and jerk away his money until the end, contributing almost nothing to society.
I guess lower taxes on the rich can be justified by the fact that they are reinvesting into society.
Is this morally right? What is best for society?

It's called savings.
He contributed a ton to society.
You shouldn't only get to enjoy the fruits of your labor while you are contributing that labor.

this is a critique of "money," not "capitalism"
as long as people can store wealth using abstractions rather than having to hold it in real wealth, this sort of thing will always be an "issue" for society
