for comfortable "hiking": merrell moabs, keen targhee 3s, hoka one one sky kaha
i most often wear keen targhee vents, they're unbelievably comfortable but fall apart after a year or so of bullshit wear |

In the winter I wear old combat boots (Bates). They are too heavy for long distance serious hiking though if I was going to hike the AT or something. |
