Vaccinated friends refuse to meet up/ go outside

The amount of fear is palpable and unhinged. It is crazy that I have been to numerous large indoor events/parties even during the height of this, and fully vaccinated friend still are not ready.
The trauma here is real, and these people really are mentally debilitated. My friends wife wouldn’t even let him go out with his parents for his bday, literally everyone in his family being 100 percent vaccinated. These people are traumatized and there appears to be no goalpost. |

Whether or not that achieves the intended effect I thank God her school only went remote for the remainder of the 2020 year (a few months) and opened summer camp as usual in July and school 100% (with masks but whatever, you can’t have everything and at least no plexiglass cages) in the fall. She would have lost her fucking mind forever. |

I’m trying to set an example by not wearing a mask unless the business requires it.
Poasted about this a month ago but I was the only maskless non-infant at a playground and park a few weeks ago. Even friend groups of adults in their 20s were sitting on picnic blankets ~10 feet apart talking to each other with masks on. People playing catch while wearing masks. Absolute freaks. |
