The CEO himself was doing this since he had access to the competitor’s private SaaS platform, probably with a fake account. I observed the CEO logging in to the competitor’s product, and I saw the features that were being copied over.
Is there any sort of lawsuit/payout potential here? This scummy company fired me because I’m a diagnosed schizophrenic, but I didn’t file an ADA claim in time because I was too depressed and in denial. |

Don't be an autist about this -- this is a conversation you should have over drinks or lunch don't put anything in writing. Make sure you're talking to the right person -- you want to be talking to a key decision-maker at the company, not some middle manager getting off on the fantasy they have power.
When you leave your former co. do it quietly with no indication about where you intend to go or why. I'm assuming you're no bound by any non-compete agreements (even if you are you can figure ways out of them but it complicates the situation). Make sure you have a deal hammered out IN WRITING before you abandon your current employer.
When you have the conversation with the competitor, it's important for you to style the discussion from the perspective of "I have information that will help you, let's figure out a mutually beneficial way to work this out" you don't want to make them feel like you're threatening or extorting them and you also need to make sure you don't implicate yourself in the conduct. There is a way to do this. |
