My wife recently got a Gamecube for her birthday. She was initially delighted by the shiny, shiny, brightly colored system. As she plugged it in, however, she got frustrated with all of the wierd, unintuitive, and seemingly "un-Gamecube-like" design features and controls. She really wanted to get into the games, but had to admit that many of the games she wanted to play were not yet available on the Gamecube (this is an area where the Gamecube has an advantage over the PS2, sadly). She even had a discussion with her friends about whether she could get a Playstation for her birthday. The reason I brought this up is because there are other Gamecubes for sale (usually in $100-$200 increments), and a Gamecube with the same kind of sticker you'd expect to find on a Playstation (at $300-$400). My question is, why is there so much dissatisfaction with this type of Gamecube? Am

I mean, it does run the games, just as bad as the PS2 does. It isn't that the PS2 is better, because the Gamecube does run the PS2 games.

And also, does anyone really hate the Gamecube so much? I mean, I've never personally met anyone that hated it. I do have friends that hate the PS2, but that's because the PS2 runs games of a better quality, and has more games. But in the end, I really don't see how the Gamecube is a bad thing, that makes it worth hating.

But there is some games on the Gamecube that are great games, games like Animal Crossing and Super Smash Bros Brawl.

In conclusion, if you don't like the games, just stop, and the other people playing them. That will never change the facts that, there is better games than there is on the Gamecube.

I hate the gamecube, it takes

I've been on the Xbox 360 bandwagon ever since the first announcement, and I've never really considered the Gamecube as an option. But this time there is this HUGE wave of Gamecube games coming out starting this fall and I've been thinking maybe it's time to bite the bullet and buy one.

So here's my question: Why does the Cowgod hate the Gamecube so much? I mean, there's so many great Gamecube games coming out that it should at least be on the radar, no?

Personally, I haven't given much thought to the gamecube until the GBA revival and then, again, it's still more of an optional buy. The gamecube itself? If you like the Nintendo 64, you should get a gamecube. It has games I enjoy and I do think it's a good system for families who want more than a system. I also like the fact it comes with its own DVD player, which seems nice if you plan to watch Cuties on Netflix

Give me your honest opinion of the Gamecube, I've seen this con soul for about 2 months now and it has been a disappointment for me, I've always been a gamer and a gamer never disappoints.

This was my first Gamecube, when I bought it in July 2005 it came with a full copy of Halo 1 and 3 (which were my first Xbox games in those days).

I am having some issues with the Gamecube controller I have, it was originally a Gameboy Color and I have tried three different controllers I have:

1. A generic Gamecube Pro joystick

2. A Gamecube Pro joystick

3. Gamecube Elite joystick with the 2-AA batteries

The problem is that they don't control the Gamecube controller correctly. They work perfectly fine for Halo 3, but for games like Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Metroid Prime, Super Smash Bros Brawl and the rest, it is very hard to play without getting frustrated, also the buttons on the back suck.

The GameCube is a pretty cool console, although it does have a lot of problems. Let me get this straight. They put out several console systems but no GameBoy or GameBoy Color! They have an amazing system, with a ton of games but no GameBoy system! They have several different versions of the GameCube, but no GameCube with the GameBoy Player system! There is no GameCube with the same basic architecture as the GameBoy but, yet, there is a system with the same basic architecture as the GameBoy and a whole bunch of games! I am so confused!!

Anyway, the GameCube has an amazing system, awesome graphics, tons of games, a bunch of cool innovations, and pretty much everything you could ever want out of a game system, except for the GameBoy system (although they did sell a very modified version of the GameCube with the GameBoy Player system). There really isn’t much wrong with the system and
