I browsed some Reddit feminism boards this weekend, & if anyone wants an explanation for the death of our country, it’s all there

I won't be supporting Drag Queens until Drag Kings get the same recognition and respect
Honestly there is so much support, love, respect, and recognition for Drag Queens, and basically zero for Drag Kings; They aren't in the media, they are invited to social events, they aren't widely praised for their skills in dress and makeup, they don't have their own tv shows, ect.
Everything a Drag Queen emphasizes is something a real woman would be hated for naturally having/getting surgery for: Big hips, big butts, big boobs, lots of makeup, wild hair, ect.
It feels like just another hurdle that women must go through to receive the same respect, love, recognition, and support as a man playing as a woman.
It's like the media only wants to love a woman's looks and sexuality as long as it's a man (mocking/portraying) in them.
It's basically another type of glass ceiling for women to break through.
I feel like I can no longer support Drag Queens until I see them and the media start to raise up Drag Kings.

my theory:
1) women have a genetic and cultural disposition conducive to a "look at me!" orientation that can easily become pathological.
2) in most cases, and when present in moderation, "look at me!" orientation can be a huge positive for societies. historically we had social means to prevent too many women from taking that over the pathological line.
3) facebook, instagram, reddit, twitter, only fans, and tiktok have lured countless millions of women, if not hundreds of millions, of women across the pathological line of "look at me!" culture. (not to mention tinder and seeking-arrangement type sites.) this has left young women with enormous dissatisfaction and high rates of mental health issues -- yet they cannot resist taking "look at me!" over the line.
4) this is bad for everyone, not just for young women.
now that's just a theory, mind you. throwing it out there so it can falsified.

====
imagine a small town or farming community or what have you. there were rules of modesty enforced by men and women, and the penalties for violations could be severe. at the same time, a woman could stay within the rules and engage in "look at me!" behavior and gain great benefit from it. so there was a balance and an Aristotelian golden mean for "look at me!" behavior.
pathology would take over in royal courts, and certainly in the mass media era starting in early Hollywood (the "it girl"). there were no limits and no constraining forces. porn is "look at me!" on steroids. right now, social media blows away all constraints. pathology reigns.

Fuck this. Fuck ALL of this. It's not like it's only Asian culture, it's everywhere.
"Spinster" was a derogatory term but only because unmarried women spun fiber to make their own money, and so had control of their own lives. Fuck all the patriarchial BS that seeks to control women, then and now.
