based on my autistic analysis of different sources engine failure was caused by power outage, which came back on too late, indicative of an electrical firmware i/o error or a hard coded backdoor- that ship's entire shipfax will need to be pulled, its service dates, personnel logs, even fuck it raw input parts sourced to establish the precise mechanical failure. It veered off course too so I wonder if it was remotely piloted as general power was lost, so many questions...

Cr dropping anchor and deceleration caused its bearing to sperg out. The propeller has a mind of its own and when steering is disconnected from the rudder it behaves unpredictably. Think about riding a motorcycle at a low speed how wobbly it is.

Slowing down on a big ship can be catastrophic in itself. For instance Titanic slowed down to its own detriment. If it had maintained speed it would have had enough thrust to avoid the iceberg. At lower speeds you have less ability to steer and with no rudder you're going to jump all over the place. The anchor dragging around added to the calamity. It was really a bunch of compounding unforeseen errors.

unforeseen? I wonder if a classic shipping textbook teaches not to drop anchor or, if in the case of dropping it, to release it and not hang on. Perhaps this is an isomorphism to this company's or society's proclivity in general to not want to let go of baggage?

No one could have forseen the ship careening into the pylon. Hindsight 20/20 they would have been better off maintaining speed and not dropping the anchor and hoping they regained enough power to steer the hell out of the way, human instinct is to try and stop the ship at all costs. At least they have plausible deniability. They reduced speed from about 8.5 knots to 1.5 before striking the pylon. They will always have that.

100k tons x 1.5 knots = 27 million Joules

Roughly one 3 millionth of an atom bomb.

So as far as we know we largely have to rule out human error on the part of the crew. They appeared to behave rationally. There's also nothing wrong with the bridges design. 100,000 tons traveling at 1.5 knots is enough force to destroy virtually any structure not carved out of a mountain.

Thus we arrive at mechanical failure. The possibilities are sabotage or malfunction. Here's the case against sabotage: a Singaporean vessel bound for Sri Lanka is not a typical target. It's too obscure. Not the Twin Towers or Time's Square. It has to be ruled out. But there's even more evidence that it wasn't an act terrorism: the odds of that ship striking the Key Bridge pylon were infinitesimal. And it's clear that the ship was not intentionally heading towards it. It veers towards the pylon by happenstance with the rudder fixed and the turbine still spinning. It was a total accident. The last case for sabotage would have to be some last minute disgruntled employee type shit. Which seems unlikely but maybe somebody was having a bad day and lit a fire in the engine room. Kind of a weird way to sperg out though.

I'm going to take a different tack: mechanic failure due to lack of maintenance and oversight. I know this is more boring than the conspiracies but this is just like Boeing where bean counters see safety as as a cost center. No one wants to think about safety. It's boring. The ship makes it to the destination, cha-ching, rinse, repeat. We have actually seen lack of maintenance be a key issue in several maritime disasters recently. No one wants to spend to upkeep their boats!

These things take a beating on the high seas and over time they turn into rust buckets and no one gives a shit about fixing them. Usually when the fleet gets too old they just sell it to some second tier shipping company offshore and they get a once over and put back into service doing lesser runs. Again I'm sorry to bore everyone but this is the reason.

"It was a total accident"

A Chad detective would say nothing is never an accident.

I just feel like the state of the ship is still accountability of the owner, if anything was skirted and I hope every screw and bolt is turned then oversight should be punished accordingly. Bring the wrath of god on the ones asleep at the wheel.

Like all manner of things concerning tragedies in the public sphere they are always public/private partnerships. When the government allows Boeing, or, say, Enron, for that matter, to audit itself, and things go awry, the state itself is not wholly absolved in the matter. Auditors are always held accountable. No amount of malpractice by a private entity waives public responsibility. The state must go in and inspect. Standards must be enforced. Turds cannot be trusted.

According to retired ship captain Albin kruse, who has been posting on Twitter, the accident was the fault of the local coastal pilot, who made an error when she put the propeller in reverse, causing the stern to pivot to the left and the bow to pivot to the right hitting the bridge...Kruse says that she should have not done anything and simply allowed the ship to go forward and ground in the mud..

Bronze age pervert says that Scott locklin determined that the local coastal pilot at the time was Elizabeth christman, although the media has been able to keep her name out of the news so far..

the captain of the ship is some Ukrainian guy who of course was not at the controls because large ships like that have local coastal pilots while they are in shallow Waters.

All this stuff is being discussed on Twitter and best way to see it is to go to Albin Kruse's Twitter page and read the replies..

If this is true, putting it in reverse makes absolutely zero sense. He's right, it would have the effect of changing the direction of the ship. Because it's a propeller if it's spinning one way and then it starts spinning the opposite way it will spin the boat to the opposite side. You can see cutting power and dropping an anchor but to go reverse engine is insane. I've never heard of that. You're going 8.5 knots and you want to slow down, which they did achieve. And I guess they were terrified having lost the rudder. But yeah by going in reverse they totally flipped the boat directly into the pylon. Big, if true.

It's a well-known phenomenon called prop walk.

Furthermore as Captain Kruse's tweet replies make clear, the local pilot is always in control in US navigable Waters.. he says without a doubt it was the local pilot the coastal pilot who is at fault here..

It also appears possible that a discrepancy between the engines could swing it even if it weren't put in reverse. Just consider this possibility.

its hilarious seeing how 60 IQ birdshits just blame DEI without reviewing any facts. just like how they recite "IQ studies" having no idea wtf they actually are abt for each country (many are 50 years ago and there's only one "study", others are just "estimates")

here u fags said DEI immediately just cause it was a singapore comp (as if Chinks are low IQ?) then when u heard it was an all turd crew u literally spit ur meth pipe out. and now its clear a local pilot is in charge so uve shifted to the gender angle

in the end there's a 90% chance it was a fat birdshit goy local pilot. then u will become silent and move on to ur next retarded bullshit (ie is the wife of prime minister of Liechtenstein really a muslim trannie?)

u birdshits are retarded, this is all sad behavior, there use to be a quest for knowledge in the US birdshit community, u use to drink from the waterfall of scholarship, u were vehicles on the highway of facts... now u are all like retarded 50 IQ dalits in some indian village spewing abt how some pakistani ghost raped ur pet goat last night

Another interesting aspect of this is that Biden is now saying the federal government will pay for the complete rebuilding of the bridge.. that means that the insurance company liability investigation end of it is liable to be terminated and short changed and so forth, protecting the female coastal pilot who was certainly in complete charge of the ship navigation at that time and who made a serious error according to Captain Kruse.. so it looks like the taxpayers will be on the hook for this and not the insurance company thanks to the elite need to protect the affirmative action agenda or is they call it nowadays DEI,.

Yeah, insurance contract will have standard clause that nothing will be paid if POTUS announces that USG will pay for it.

Always when whites fuck up, it is the individual. When others fuck up, the entire ethnicity that is at blame. This is most often seen in mass shootings. Usually it's an angry birdshit male. But we blame mental illness, not birdshit culture.

We are currently in a hot war with Russia where we’ve been openly attacking their billion dollar strategic gas pipelines and civilian bridge in crimea. They just had a few days ago a major terrorist attack on their soil which the US or its controlled-client Ukraine probably had a hand in, even if just to turn a blind eye to it. What exactly, under these circumstances, is so conspiratorial about believing it was a retaliatory attack? Wouldn’t this make much more sense then bombing some air base in Syria? It has caused 20 billion dollars in damages, hurt the government, and maintained plausible deniability?

Do people realize we are in a war? That the starting signal for that wasn’t hundreds of thousands of troops being sent across a front line, but rather assymmetrical hostile actions?
