That's not why "it is the way it is." In reality, it is because the system protects the elites who are the ones that primarily benefit, and in turn they have every incentive to keep that system going. That reality is the same as in most countries in the world, whether Russia, China, the UK, etc.

You can visit most US cities and realize that they're hellscapes at this point, and Tucker Carlson was 100% correct that Moscow is much better and safer than a majority of US urban areas.
