I have been on hundreds of flights but I have never, not once, purchased inflight wifi. I've never even used it if offered complimentary because I was in biz class or what not. The skies are not for the internet. The skies are for alone time. On my last flight I sat very near to a lawyer that I worked with over 15 years ago. The dude didn't seem to recognize me and didn't say hello. I didn't say hello either. Perhaps we both recognized one another but the two of us were separately autistic enough to not acknowledge that recognition in public. I am haunted by loneliness. |
