i used to have a secret clearance and it was no big deal, just took fucking forever to get it (like more than a year and a half). it was radio silence for most of that time.
different agencies have different standards and requirements for clearances. one agency may grant you a TS, another may deny you a secret because of factors specific to the agency/role.
also you can appeal a denial.
you really have to fuck up to get a denial. like, massive six figure debt, very recent huge drug problems, jail/prison time, arrests, etc. |
