I don’t think the problem is 3.5 vs 4. Coding is the best use case and even 3.5 is decent at that. I think it’s that most people don’t have much use for LLMs in their current form. Once the large context window LLMs become prevalent and people can dump a lot of job specific knowledge into the context window, they should be a lot more useful. integration with desktop environments so you can have them do entire tasks with minimal supervision. They also need to become more reliable so you can just give it a normal white collar job task and have confidence it will work.
These things are on the verge of destroying white collar work but in their current form aren’t very useful for most people
