Your goals should be things like:

1. Living a fulfilling and meaningful life.

2. Finding the right woman to marry, marrying her, and forming a family with children.

3. Working at things that you like and that you think make a difference.

4. Forming relationships with your family and friend.

5. Building sufficient wealth to provide for your security.

Retirement by itself is not a goal worth having. Oh you quit working? How fascinating. Retirement can be seen as a phase that huddles up at the terminus of your life but that doesn't mean that Retirement is a goal worth having. I'd rather die in my sleep quite frankly.

What are you talking about? I have a family and kids and relationships and friends and all sorts of things. I also struggle with money. I wouldn't trade my money struggles for retirement though. I mean maybe I'll retire in my mid-70s when things start to decline, but that's a long while off yet.

Off the top of my head, I don't sense any fulfillment or meaning in your life, I think you've said you have a terrible relationship with your father and maybe more family, your best friends are poasters, and I strongly suspect you married poorly. I won't say anything about your kids, I'm sure they adore you, I just wish their adoration was warranted.
